Most of y'all know that after traveling to Africa, my heart was changed forever. Unfortunately, the chances of doing any kind of mission work for the past 18 months came to a screeching halt. Finally...it's happening!! I will be traveling with Extra Mile Pediatrics to Guatemala in January!! I had the privilege of meeting the co-founder and president Jeff on my trip to Africa and reached out to him when travel started opening up. I can't wait to meet the parents and children of Guatemala and use the skills I have to assist them. As it is stated on the Extra Mile Pediatric's website, "when children are well, the focus can be on foundational health issues - growth, nutrition, development, education, and preventive care."
